The main force behind Weeklyn Hill. These guys produced the coaling tower, ash plant, engine shed and diesel depot used on the layout. Not to mention countless locos, some of which are even Ex-Leeds locos so no renumbering was required.
One of the best coupling systems on the market. We have fitted them to all our freight stock and any locos that will pull the coal and diesel fuel trains. Look more realistic than a tension lock and with the magnets you can uncouple and shunt to any point on the line.
A fantastic blog based on a GWR Shed reviewing model railways, how to fit DCC to models, and the real railways - all under one (shed) roof.
Well worth a read - the layout behind the blog was inspired by Weeklyn Hill so we must be doing something right.
Another good blog to read, it is run by a model and steam railway enthusiast, who devotes a lot of time into various model railway projects and seeing the real thing.
Model reviews, DCC Fitting guides, detailing projects, scenic jobs, weathering guides (by yours truly) and exhibition news coupled with a steam train diary makes it compelling reading.
These guys are also suppliers of sound chips. They do plenty of options - worth looking it if you want a slightly different sound to the Howes option - quality is just as good plus they do some locos Howes don't do.
